Time for a helping hand

I do like Joe Cocker, but there is actually a reason for posting this video to the blog. To be successful in IB Biology is difficult and while I will do what I can to steer you through the next two years you will find it much easier if you help each other.

Before the holiday I split you into small groups and gave each group the task of producing a learning resource for one of the following Topic 2.1 curriculum statements:-

  • Outline the cell theory.
  • Discuss the evidence for the cell theory.
  • State that unicellular organisms carry out all the functions of life.
  • State that multicellular organisms show emergent properties.
  • Explain that cells in multicellular organisms differentiate to carry out specialized functions by expressing some of their genes but not others.
  • State that stem cells retain the capacity to divide and have the ability to      differentiate along different pathways.
  • Outline one therapeutic use of stem cells.

I will post your resources here, but that is after you have presented them to your peers in class!

So here you can find the resources produced by your peers
